- Was there anything you didn't like?The water pressure was horrible from both the showerhead and the spout. The bathroom door could barely be called a door — it doesn’t lock and has open gaps around it. If you're sharing a room, make sure it's with someone you're very comfortable with because they will hear (and smell) everything — no joke. There is absolutely no parking available. There is a 24/7 parking garage across the street, but be aware: if you have a midsize or large vehicle, they will charge double the fee. I paid $45 per day, and there is no in-and-out privilege or multi-day discount. The area feels sketchy in terms of safety. NYPD officers guard the corner every night, which adds a small sense of relief, but I highly recommend staying alert and watching your surroundings, loved ones, and belongings at all times. Breakfast was minimal. They provided oatmeal packets rather than prepared oatmeal. There were eggs, pork sausage, and waffles (which you make yourself — that part was fun), but the batter was bland and there were no toppings such as powdered sugar, cinnamon, fresh fruit, or nuts. They had one container of bacon for a 19-floor hotel, and it ran out extremely fast. The lobby is clean and includes a mini store and microwave. They offer hot coffee all night, as well as a small ice and water machine. There are larger ice machines on each floor. The gym is fair — suitable if you mainly use a treadmill. I probably wouldn’t return primarily due to the parking situation. The front desk mentioned plans to add a third-party parking structure, estimated around $50 per day (possibly more or less, but based on my experience in Jamaica, Queens and Manhattan, it will likely be pricey).
