      ⸻ Overall rating: Disappointing – below COMO brand standards We have been staying at COMO properties globally since 2005 and have consistently chosen the brand for its service culture, operational excellence, design quality, and attention to detail. It is precisely because of this long-standing loyalty that this stay was so disappointing. It is important to acknowledge that the location is excellent, with panoramic views, and the interior design, rooms, and spa facilities are very good and broadly aligned with what one would expect from the COMO brand. The physical asset, setting, and design quality were not the issue. Unfortunately, these strengths were significantly undermined by serious shortcomings in food and beverage operations and overall service delivery. The F&B experience throughout the stay was poorly managed and chaotic. Service was consistently slow, disorganised, and reactive. Staff were clearly overwhelmed, insufficiently trained, and inadequately supported for the volume of guests being accommodated. Communication was weak, execution was messy, and basic hospitality fundamentals were frequently missing. More concerning was the absence of effective leadership on the floor. Senior managers were visible but appeared unable to stabilise operations, direct teams effectively, or resolve issues in real time. During peak periods there was little sense of control, ownership, or proactive guest management—something we have not previously experienced at COMO properties. Basic operational planning also fell short. The resort appeared unprepared for routine challenges such as weather, with insufficient umbrellas and limited flexibility when conditions changed. Simple guest needs required disproportionate effort to resolve, reinforcing the impression of an overstretched operation. The situation was particularly disappointing on New Year’s Eve, where planning failures became unavoidable.

      COMO Point Yamu is truly an experience at another level! From the moment we arrived, we were immersed in peak luxury, exceptional design, and outstanding hospitality. Every member of the team was incredibly passionate about their work and genuinely kind and attentive toward guests, which made the stay feel very personal and special. The Kids Club deserves a special mention—absolutely amazing! My children loved every moment there, and a big thank you to truly caring and Amazing staff Nana, Ao, Ice, and Wawa. - who made it such a memorable experience for them. We would happily return to Phuket just to relive the stay and hospitality at COMO Point Yamu. Kudos to the COMO management team for building such an outstanding and dedicated team. ✨
