  EVERYTHING! The hotel is located in a magical setting, overlooking beautiful Borobodur Temple, built with an architectural mastery that allows to enjoy stellar sunrises and sunsets, from several villas (thank you Diviani!), both restaurants, and diverse hotel viewpoints. There's an energy to the hotel that is unique: the nature and landscaping is so holistic and inspiring, it has a genuine healing quality to it, and a most romantic vibration. Central Java is a world-renowned jewel, given its many temples, volcanoes, and traditions (awesome guidance from Mario!). It's a mesmerizing place. And on top of all this wonder, what will forever be first in our hearts and souls, is the WORLD-CLASS, incomparable intelligence, love, generosity, and luminosity of the entire food and beverage team led by RENOWNED, ONE OF ONE, loving Chef Iqbal. The diverse dishes of real Indonesian Cuisine that Chef Iqbal directly prepared to make sure we could enjoy them without worries given our celiac disease (gluten allergy), were all nurturing and delicious (duck, beef, chicken, and lamb in unforgettable spicy and savory sauces, combined with the absolute best romantic dinner of our life, conceived, planned, and executed out of the generosity and vision of Chef Iqbal, with the most outstanding tomahawk cooked live!). To experience travel accompanied by the talent of the AMAZING kitchen staff (thank you loving Chef Galu!) is so soothing for people with celiac disease, even more so when you meet the OUTSTANDING hospitality staff at the Tiga Dari and Patio Restaurants, led by Bimo, Putri, Isti, Yeqti, Arga, and more, all of whom bring a sincerity, wisdom, generosity, presence, elegance, brilliance, and excellence unmatched. The unforgettable conversations about Java's history with Bimo, Putri's counsel on regional teas, Yeqti's joy, and the brilliance of soul by stellar Isti. We love you all!

  Gorgeous grounds and villa Proximity to Borobudur More than anything: the most accommodating, the most patient, the most helpful, the warmest, most sincere and the most gracious staff I have ever experienced anywhere—and I’ve traveled to 70 countries and stayed in some amazing hotels.
