- What did you like most?Very friendly and helpful personnel, decent breakfast, clean spacious room
- Was there anything you didn't like?20 min walk to the nearest tram station, so it takes you 40 min to get to the centre of Nantes. However, the area is very green and peaceful ??
Avoid staying here. Only as a last resort: feels like you're broke and below standards
- What did you like most?Staff - the only bright side of this hotel - were very friendly and tried to help. However it wasn't easy in the given circumstances.
- Was there anything you didn't like?The hotel is 15 minutes by car from Nantes center and 30 minutes from the airport. However, it is separated from the city by a busy ring road. Traffic jams are common there and on connecting streets, so do not count on short travel times. Photos on booking.com do not match reality. The hotel looks like a very cheap hostel, even though it cost almost €200/night for my family. The building needs repainting outside. The lobby is very small. Corridors are dark. The breakfast room is also small and dark. There was a strong chemical smell inside the room and the corridor, said to come from disinfectant. If you are sensitive to smells or have allergies, avoid this place. There is no air-conditioning in the rooms, only in the lobby. Rooms get very hot in summer. A sign by the elevator warned not to use it if possible, and to use it one family at a time. It did not feel safe. We booked the two-level family suite. It had space, beds for five, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a restroom. Still, we had problems: no lock on the restroom door, mold in the shower, scratched wallpaper, dusty floor, and poor, cold, harsh LED lighting. Breakfast was very basic and overpriced (€20/person): baguettes, butter, jam, coffee, yogurt, and raw eggs. Guests must boil eggs themselves. That may be fun, but not practical if you are in a rush. The breakfast room was too warm and dark even in the morning. Reception is not open 24/7. It was even closed at 11:00 in the morning on checkout day. There is no restaurant. Staff suggested ordering pizza online or going to the Sure hotel next door, which looked much better and had a proper restaurant.
